Rescue-A-Bull, Inc. was founded in December of 2010 by a group of bully lovers dedicated to rescue and education. Many of us have worked together in other groups for about two years. We are excited to be able to help our bully friends.

 

  

Erica is the Treasurer and Co-Founder of Rescue-A-Bull, Inc. She and her husband, Christopher, live in the Hudson Valley area of New York with their five rescue dogs, four rescue cats, and a constant flow of foster dogs. Erica has been involved in shelter and rescue work for over 10 years, serving as an adoption manager and trainer for a local SPCA. Chris has owned and worked with pit bulls for over 10 years. Erica is an honors graduate of the San Francisco Academy for Dog Trainers. She owns and operates her own private training and behavior consulting business in New York in addition to volunteering locally. Chris serves as Rescue-a-Bull's President and also works as Chief Hosting Architect for a dot com company in New Jersey. For Erica and Chris rescue is not a hobby, but a way of life. Erica is the Fundraising Coordinator for Rescue-A-Bull, Inc. She lives in Ulster County, NY with her beloved rescued pit mix, Izzie. Since adopting Izzie in 2009, rescue has become a big part of her life. She has fallen in love with the breed and has been fostering ever since. Rescue is so much more than saving a life. It is about showing a dog love and helping them find their perfect forever. Erica's day job is working as a Speech Language Pathologist with young children. Jess is an Adoption Coordinator for Rescue-a-Bull, Inc. She is a stay at home mom persuing her Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling. Her and her husband live in Honeoye, NY with their two young sons and 3 rescued pit bulls, Pollux, Lu, and Hope. Jess has a B.S in Psychology and focused on learning theory in her undergraduate studies. She would like to eventually open a private practice and work with therapy dogs to enhance the counseling process. Jess has been volunteering in rescue for 3 years helping with home visits, applications, transport, as well as helping to spread the word about positive training techniques and providing assistance to anyone in need of training support. Laura is the Marketing Coordinator for Rescue-A-Bull, Inc.  She has worked in rescue for about 4 years.  She lives in Rochester, NY with her husband Jon and their two dogs Bella & Brody.  Her day job is a Database Administrator.  When not at her day job or helping out with transports or home visits, Laura can be found hanging out with Jon or the dogs or out on a run with Bella.  If you have any ideas on how to get the word out on rescue, contact Laura at laura@rescue-a-bull.com

Jon is a Home Visit and Transport Coordinator for Rescue-A-Bull, Inc.  He has been involved in pit bull rescue for 4 years volunteering at events, conducting home visits, and transporting dogs.  Jon and his wife Laura live in Rochester, NY with their 2 pit bulls, Brody and Bella(rescued).  Jon's day job is as a Database Analyst for a non-profit organization.  When he is not volunteering his spare time for rescue, Jon can be found either at the gym or outside in his garden.  You can contact Jon at jon@rescue-a-bull.com.

Amy is a foster coordinator for Rescue-a-Bull. She lives in the suburbs of Buffalo with her husband and pit mix Shelby. Shelby was adopted from a local shelter 9 years ago, which is when she fell in love with the breed. She was excited to get involved in rescue work a couple years ago. Over the years Amy has also volunteered in wildlife rehabilitation and at the SPCA. Her day job is a drafting manager. Janine is the Humane Education Cooridnator for Rescue-a-Bull, Inc and is looking forward to using her experience as a teacher to help spread the message of RAB. Often wishing there were programs in schools to educate children about dogs, Janine and RAB teamed up to make this dream come true. She has been involved in rescue since she adopted her first pitty, Sunny, about 2 years ago. Sunny shares her life with her pitty siblings, Cleo and Champ (RAB alumni). Nicole is a Foster Coordinator for Rescue-a-Bull, Inc. She lives in the lovely Rochester area with her husband and son. Of course, her home is not complete without their two rescued Pit Bull Mixes, Beauford F. Taggart and Lola B. Nicole is employed as a Registered Dietitian for a non-profit agency working with children. When she's not working, she enjoys her free time with her family or walking the dogs. Tracy is an Adoptions Coordinator and lives in North Tonawanda, a suburb of Buffalo, with her two dogs. Bella is 2 year old pit rescue and Blue her 8 year old Bichon Frise. Tracy fell in love with rescue work after adopting Bella a couple years ago. She works as a school counselor in a boys private high school and volunteers with the SPCA in adoptions as well as fostering for Rescue-a-Bull. Kathleen is a Foster Coordinator. She lives with her boyfriend Jamie and 3 rescue fur kids Tank, Petey and Waffles in Berkeley Township NJ. By day she works as a Medical Audit Supervisor at a local hospital and is currently enrolled in Dog/Cat Grooming School on the weekends as this is what she would like to do as a career moving forward. Kathleen has been involved in rescue since the late 90’s mostly by transporting dogs up from the south to rescues in the North East. Kathleen has a soft spot for all animals , but her passion lies with the Bully Breeds. When she's not rescuing Kathleen loves to hike, kayak and cook with Jamie and their pups (the pups assist with the taste testing process of the cooking). Rebecca is a Foster Coordinator with Rescue-A-Bull, Inc. She lives Dutchess County, NY in Poughkeepsie right on the Hudson River. Her life would not be complete without her boyfriend Ken and Great Dane Leo! Leo just turned 3 years old. He is the most amazing pup who has filled Rebecca's house with more love and joy then she could have imagined. Each day that goes by, Rebecca realizes that dogs are more than just animals, they are living beings that are full of emotion, insight, and love. Every dog deserves the opportunity to have a forever home that's filled with love, snuggles, and kisses. During the day, she works as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an elementary school setting.
